The Island Hotel has 10 rooms, all of them
individual and all having very little in common with any hotel. To preserve the romantic
and traditional ambiance, there are no televisions or telephones in the
rooms of the main hotel. Some of the hotel rooms have
old fashioned claw- foot tubs (bubble bath provided!), some showers and some tub and
showers. They all have the original hand-cut wooden walls and floors, and
are centrally heated and air conditioned. Guests may use the
upstairs lobby and the balcony, where you may relax in our rocking
chairs. Or enjoy the
double swing, where many couples have succumbed to the romance of the hotel and become
engaged. Some also come back and get married here! Rooms are non-smoking.
All of our rooms have private
bathrooms. Two have king sized beds, four have queen sized beds, and
the remainder have double beds. One queen room has two
beds. The rooms have traditional ceiling fans. Room rates vary between $80 to $135 per night for two
people. The room rate includes a full breakfast each morning, either in
our dining room or, weather permitting, on our screened porch. Breakfast
includes fresh brewed Columbian roast coffee or imported and herbal teas, fruit
juice, French toast, and a choice of the house- specialty cooked breakfast. Room
rates are slightly higher on Friday and Saturday nights and on holidays.
Some minimum nights stay are required for holiday periods. Please contact

unable to accept children of any age on holiday or festival weekends.
