Whether you are on business, or just a weekend getaway, you'll enjoy the tropical setting and relaxed Florida style of the Island Hotel Bed & Breakfast.

The Island Hotel is a Bed & Breakfast with 10 rooms, set in the small town of Cedar Key, Florida. All of the rooms are uniquelly decorated and have very little in common with any other hotel. To preserve the romantic and traditional ambiance, there are no televisions or telephones in the rooms of the main hotel.  Some of the hotel rooms have old fashioned claw- foot tubs (bubble bath provided!), some showers and some tub and showers. They all have the original hand-cut wooden walls and floors, and are centrally heated and air conditioned. Guests may use the upstairs lobby and the balcony, where you may relax in our rocking chairs and enjoy the Florida sunshine.  Or enjoy the double swing, where many couples have succumbed to the romance of the hotel and become engaged. Some even come back and get married at this special bed & breakfast inn! Rooms are non-smoking.

Bed & Breakfast Hotel Accomodations   

All of our rooms have private bathrooms.  Two have king sized beds, four have queen sized beds, and the remainder have double beds. One queen room has two beds. The rooms have traditional ceiling fans. Room rates vary between $80 to $135 per night for two people. The room rate includes a full breakfast each morning, either in our dining room or, weather permitting, on our screened porch.

Breakfast includes fresh brewed Columbian roast coffee or imported and herbal teas,  fruit juice, French toast, and a choice of the house- specialty cooked breakfast.  Room rates are slightly higher on Friday and Saturday nights and on holidays.
